Everything was great about the stay..

We really enjoyed our stay at Solterra Resort - the villa is big, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a lovely sun deck and pool that gets the sun all day and evening. The cleanliness was not 100% - there were large ‘dust bunnies’ in the room corners/behind doors, and most of the skirting boards (base boards) had a thick layer of dust on them. The bedroom floors were gritty and dusty on the night we arrived - we took to wearing sliders at all times so our socks/feet stayed clean. The kitchen wasn’t particularly well stocked (only one baking tray and tea towel, no oven gloves, the largest pot on it had one handle as the other was broken); I emailed the Shine Villas team and someone came by that day to drop off baking trays, oven gloves and tea towels - what fantastic service! We loved this villa - it has a lot of bedrooms/bathrooms/living space and was in a great location close to really nice restaurants and the on-ramp to the I4. It could be very noisy when outside by the pool - a lot of other renters in the resort seemed to play their music at top volume poolside, so it wasn’t as tranquil as we’d expected, but overall we loved the villa, loved the location and would happily return. We had no issues with entering the property using the door code, and Shine Villas were extremely responsive whenever I needed to ask a question.

House was perfect for occasion.

Pros: The house is beautiful and very clean.Cons: the management company was very subpar with communication. To the point I had to call VRBO and even then, they did not pick up even VRBO's phone calls. Check in was very frustrating due to them not communicating. We also paid to have the pool and hot tub heated and upon arrival it was freezing cold. They did not send out a technician until Wednesday which was day five of our stay to fix the problem. We only had two days that we were able to use the hot tub and pool. They did not want to give a reimbursement for the days we could not use the pool or hot tub, just kept thanking us for our understanding and then they finally offered only for two days and then four when we were out five days for the use of the hot tub and pool. We had to again contact VRBO which again tried to call them with no success. VRBO ended up giving us the refund for the five days. I was glad that everything was documented on the app correspondence between the management company and myself. We have rented many homes in the past, but I would avoid re-renting from this management company. (Shine Villas)
