Ist nah am Flughafen. Sehr ruhig gelegen.
Etwas herunter gekommen.

Nice view, friendly staff, excellent service.
Older hotel. The bathroom needs to be updated. Breakfast was subpar.

This hotel is like an old Italian estate. It has seen its better days but the grounds are beautiful and the pool is wonderful. The staff are great and the overall facilities fantastic.
Rooms could have been slightly cleaner but overall they were great. We found a few bugs in the shower but it is in an area with a lot of wildlife.

Great location - close to the airport and the Rescate rescue centre
Lovely swimming pool, clean and refreshing
Beautiful hotel grounds, populated by nesting birds and wandering iguanas
Tasteful interior decoration
Comfortable bed
Facilities were rather dated
The selection at breakfast was rather small, and some of the food appeared to be a little off
6.0
Large room, huge comfortable bed, pool was nice and complimentary breakfast was good.
Close to the airport and quiet.
Rescate Wildlife Center and Mariel Soda is a short walk away.
The resort was a ghost town. Would have been a quiet retreat for a couple or group but not social for a solo traveller.
Facilities were mostly clean and nice enough but clearly not aging well. Couch in my room was shredded.
Shower sprayed in two directions, neither direction was down. Bathroom smelled of sewage.
Wifi was spotty.
Breakfast in the restaurant was good but other meals were overpriced and limited to Italian food. Ate mostly at Mariel, a small local restaurant a short walk down the road.
Not within walking distance of anything other than the Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center and Mariel Soda.

Beds were comfortable with lovely crisp white sheets.
Rooms were big and clean. Breakfast was great. The grounds were well maintained. Pool was good for the children. Close enough to do tours around the area.
Kitchenette didn’t provide enough equipment for number of people in the room. No kettle, but there was a coffee machine. The shower head was broken so we had to hold it to wash, the whole shower area was questionable.
Not that this can be helped but the amount of biting bugs at all times of the day was immense so we had to keep the doors closed, mesh screens on the doors would have been welcomed.

The facility is definitely a private getaway within a large metro area. Very comfortable as an airport overnighter, and I've stayed here about 16 times over ten yrs. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant food is excellent!
I found the room to have a very low end sofa, not in keeping with the rest of the room. Okay to throw a suitcase on, but not something one would be able to relax on.
Housekeeping needs to add face cloths to the bathroom linens, and some shampoo & conditioner would be much appreciated.
The corridors have tiled floors and plastered walls, so any sounds transmit loudly through the building, including the accidental slamming of doors by guests or the wind. The room doors should have self-closures, rubber weatherstripping or some type of cushioning to absorb the impact and quiet the noise.

This hotel was our first stay in our journey in Costa Rica. It is very practical as it is near the airport and it was on our way to Monteverde as we were leaving early next Monday. The hotel is Italian style, with very nice gardens and pool surrounded by nature. When we got there we received a free room upgrade which was a very nice offer considering how tired we arrived from our long trip. The villa was nice, big and spacious with a living room, kitchenette, a big bathroom and a queen bed. Good breakfast with fruit and nice waiters. People overall were nice and welcoming. We loved Luppa, the dog they have in the hotel, she’s playful and lovely.
The villa was big and overall nice but old. The bed was noisy (squeaky), the shower door difficult to open/close, when flushing the toilet it would always get stuck having to manually fix it on the water container. As well, I consider that the cleaning was not that great (hair in the sink, spider web in the window..).

Old world class

Lovely period hotel and grounds, food was reasonable if not very exciting. Pool is great. Bird life is so entertaining.
No help with luggage on arrival and no lift in accommodation.

This hotel is very well located to the airport (20 minute drive) and yet very quiet. The grounds are beautifully kept and the pool is wonderful - even for swimming laps. The staff were most friendly and helpful. Nearby (1 minute walk) is a wonderful rescue center for wild animals and birds that is well worth visiting. I highly recommend this hotel.

There’s tennis courts, amazing pool- walking distance to the animal rescue.
The room was a bit dirty- the walls need to be cleaned

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. The location was convenient from SJO.
Things were a little dated and needed a refresh, but it looked like they were working on it while we were there.

The hotel is quite beautiful and offers much space to walk around. The rooms are comfy but needs renovations soon. The pool area is very spacious and is very nice. At the restaurant, you can eat Italian food ( especially pizzas ).
Breakfast buffet could offer much more. Sadly no ham and bacon was offered.
Internet is quite slow and is not accessible everywhere.
Warm water was not working sometimes.
It can get loud when guests are chatting at the pool area.

Close to the air port. Out of the city
No shuttle bus from airport, but Uber was low cost. Older buildings, needs some repair in various areas.

For relax a nice place. We had good dinner. We left very early to the airport but got some drink and Fruits
Furniture old fashioned. One receptionist didn't speak English just Spanish

Really excellent service, every staff member went above and beyond. Some of the best service we've experienced in Costa Rica. The food was great and the restaurant was really nice. The pool was huge and clean, though there wasn't a huge amount of shade. The gardens were lovely with lots of little bits of interest. There was a cart service to help us get our bags to our room and we were able to leave the bags we didn't want in the office.
The bathroom was large and modern and the shower was hot and strong (like I like my coffee 😏).
The room itself was quite basic/dated and smelled musty. The beds were quite hard.
. There were no tea or coffee making facilities.
There isn't an airport shuttle.
You need to book in advance to use the spa/sauna/steam room and there were no slots left. Top tip. Book when you reserve.
Overall would recommend.

staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help with bookings etc
hotel felt a bit old and spa was not a spa. this was a very basic hotel and probably not worth a 5 star

nice pool and landscaping
bathrooms too small due to Bidet right in front of toilet approx 15 inches and bidet had a regular faucet as if to wash your hands

Room dated but comfortable with a lovely balcony.

Big pool. We ate Dinner and Breakfast - both were good.
There were very few guests and the place felt deserted...

I really enjoyed the natural beauty of the resort's location being away from the San Jose metro area. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend staying here.
