The location was really nice, closer to the cute streets of Plaka and away from hustle and bustle. Most things needed were walkable including getting to and from the airport via the metro. Our room was super spacious too so that was nice. Check in is 100% contact less which depending on what you like is ok.

The first night there was several people partying in the the community courtyard in the center of the apartment building they stayed talking and playing music u til about 3 am. Not ideal when jet legged and as it’s an older building the sound really travelled. You could hear water running in the next unit anytime they used the restroom. Communicating with the host wasn’t the most responsive. Check in instructions were received in a timely manner, however when asking about where I could hold my bags before check in as I arrived very early in the morning took a bit of time and various means of contacting through booking and WhatsApp for a reply. There is no daily housekeeping which was ok just wish we could have had the trash removed more often.

Central to all the archeological sites, shops and restuarants. Lovely area

Location! The best for exploring the center. Close to everything, yet so quiet. Perfect for the 1-2 nights.

We stayed at the top floor apartment. There was a code lock for the main entrance, but as this apartment is bit quirky, I felt that I would have also wanted the key for the bedroom door. The balcony felt bit unsafe when going out and not being able to lock the door from balcony to bedroom.

The location was great, very convenient 7 min walk from Syntagma and right at the edge of Plaka, so a 10min walk to the entrance of the Akropilis, the museum, the Botanical Gardens, the Greek Parliament House.

A few things were not great: the bathroom door had collapsed from its hinge at the bottom and couldn’t be opened or closed, not great for privacy when in the bathroom and when someone had been in the toilet there was no way of keeping the smell going in the bedrooms, had to squeeze behind the door to be able to use the sink to brush our teeth and do the dishes, and finally it is very dangerous because as the door was made of glass it could shatter if it was pushed a bit more by accident; the add says kitchenette but a cabinet with a kettle a coffee machine and cutlery I wouldn’t call that a kitchenette (and again doing the dishes in the sink). There was nowhere to sit and eat other than the beds. Finally, communication with Yannis (the manager) wasn’t great. I had requested a late check-in via booking.com which was never addressed and I had to rewrite as message 2 more times about it, but I had also requested to get the information about accessing the apartment earlier than normal (in the morning of the day of check in instead of the afternoon) and instead I received the information at 6pm while in our flight - if I hadn’t managed to find free wifi I wouldn’t have been able to access the apartment at 11pm with 3 children in tow.
