I thought it would be a traditional Japanese house with classic facilities, but to my surprise, the interior was Western-style with plenty of cozy spaces to relax. The beds were also very spacious. I usually really dislike mixed dorms, and this property only offers mixed dorms—however, the privacy here was excellent even in a mixed room. On top of that, the hosts (a lovely couple) were incredibly friendly. I ordered the 1,200 yen curry dinner, which unexpectedly came with chicken and fresh vegetables—it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend staying here, and you definitely shouldn't miss the curry dinner!

Bring earplugs as can be loud when trying to sleep

Super clean and comfy! Needed after riding the bike all day. Super friendly host providing lots of information about local area, including nearby public baths and onsen, about further attractions to cycle to, etc. They also provided a towel and mini shower gel to take to public bath!

Amazing location and wonderful local feel and experience. The hosts were amazing and really welcomed us…also the dinner she made for us was absolutely delicious. A great stay when doing the shimanami kaido.
