Wonderful stay, right at the city center, great view...really kind and helpful host. Definitely visiting again!

Leslie the property owner is absolutely delightful. He gave us all the information we needed for our one night stay and also a lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. The rooms have a great view of lake Gregory which is only short downhill walk away. Breakfast was served in a dining room and was delicious without being too much. We enjoyed our stay at Rustique house.

We had a comfortable stay that felt just like home. The host took great care of us and personally drove my friends and me from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. We also loved the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast made by his mom!
We had a good stay, but a few quick fixes in the bathroom would make it much better. The toilet door doesn't stay closed from the outside, which allows odors to escape into the room. A latch on the outside would easily solve this. A bit of deeper cleaning to keep the toilet smelling fresh would also be appreciated!

We loved the Sri lanakan breakfast. We absolutely loved the attic room overlooking the lake. Waking up to that beautiful morning view right from our bed was truly special.
Just a small note: there’s a carnival near the lake, so you can hear some music in the evenings. The host informed us about it at check-in and even provided earplugs, which was very thoughtful and helpful.
