Posizione, vicino al mare, appartamento grande, accessoriato, cucina grande che include anche lavastoviglie e microonde. Molto pulito, mobili nuovi. Climatizzato in entrambi gli ambienti. Possibilità di usare lavatrici e asciugatrici comuni. C'erano delle bacchette da trekking da poter prendere in prestito. Accesso self con codici. Parcheggio non incluso, si poteva prendere a 10€ a notte ma ci sono parcheggi gratuiti appena fuori dal centro .

The location of the apartment was very central in Machico, close to very nice restaurants and the beach. Machico is a great walkable city. The apartment was clean and had everything needed. The A/C in the bedroom worked nicely, the one in the living room did not.

#1. The on-line check-in was not working. We received emails from the host asking that we complete the form and submit it. We tried several times. There must have been a glitch with the software because we were unable to. #2. The host should have paid attention to me telling her that we would be arriving at the airport at 1 am and would there be a problem. She said no problem. However, in speaking with her two hours prior to the departure flight on September 14, we found out that she did not have reservations for us when we arrived at 1 am on September 15 and did not have any availability. Fortunately, we found a hotel that could accommodate us for that one when we arrived in Madeira. #3. Information from host on the reserved parking area was very confusing. We reserved private parking near the apartments for 10 euros a night (well worth it as there is no available parking anywhere near the apartment). We received an e-m from host stating that we could pay for the parking via PayPal, Reservo or cash but we then had to provide proof of payment before we could access the parking area. Fortunately, a very kind housekeeping employee told us where the parking area was. It was about a block away. Come to find out, payment doesn't have to be made until check out and the key was on the table in the apartment. #4. WiFi wouldn't connect.

We hired 3 apartments and we only received codes for 2. I asked the host many times for the third code and after we have left we still never recieved the code - or any responses from host when we were there. We were lucky to find the cleaning lady, who could not speak English, and after a long struggle we managed to get the code from her. We asked where the parking was as there were keys/remotes for the parking in the room but again host did not respond. Also we had 3 apartments - one for 4 people and the other 2 were for 3 but the apartment for 4 people (Aprtment number 2) was much smaller and worse layout than the other two.
