You are paying for the location and it was worth it. Waking up to a view of the fjord and being able to watch a dolphin potter around was amazing. The shared facilities were great with large sitting rooms and well equipped kitchen. Everywhere was warm and comfortable and well thought out. Check in and out was really easy and good comms. Nice simple walk with cases from the train or ferry.

You had to be on your toes to grab a shower in the shared facilities at times in the morning. Outside veranda would have been nice to use more between showers if there was a way of drying chairs.

This location is awesome! I never got tired of looking out onto the Fjord and watching it constantly change. The guest house is kept very clean. There is a full kitchen available for use - this really helped my budget as the restaurants in Flam are expensive, even for Norway.

It's hard to complain about only 1.5 bathrooms for 6 rooms. The hosts were very clear about explaining that after the booking and they provided the opportunity to cancel the reservation for no charge. Just be sure you read their description carefully.
