Il 'Treehouse' è un piccolo e incantevole, rustico, casa di 2 piani su palafitte. Ci sono unità di aria condizionata, di finestre per l'estate, e una stufa a legna e spazio riscaldamento per l'inverno. Legna fornita. Ogni piano è di 12 ft x 12 ft. Al piano inferiore vi è un letto queen size futon, una stufa a legna, e una piccola cucina (con frigorifero, tostapane e piano cottura, e forniture di cucina di base, tra cui le spezie, tè e caffè), e un tavolo. Il piano superiore è accessibile da una scala ripida. Ha un letto matrimoniale, un armadio e una scrivania.
C'è un portico avvolgente con un divano e una splendida vista del torrente, e il verde circostante. Il bagno si trova in una stanza chiusa in veranda (wc e lavandino). La doccia calda all'aperto, privato è adiacente il portico. Insolito! E sì, noi abbiamo ospiti in inverno! C'è una stufa in bagno adiacente, in modo da poter andare dalla doccia calda direttamente nel bagno caldo mentre godendo l'aria fresca esterna!
Siamo trova a 1 miglio dal centro commerciale del centro a Charlottesville, e lungo la strada da una bella pista lungo il fiume. Un torrente, albero di noce nero con uno swing, orto e 3 galline ruspanti sono nel grande cortile. (Polli dolce dormire sotto la Treehouse nella loro coop.)
Monticello di Thomas Jefferson è a 10 minuti, e molti ristoranti favolosi sono raggiungibili a piedi (10 minuti a piedi). L'accesso alla bella Riverside Trail è proprio dall'altra parte della strada. Luogo ideale per passeggiare i cani, in bicicletta e passeggiare.

Well tended, clean and a fun camping-like experience.

Owners were extremely welcoming and hospitable, with our stay being exactly the sort of tranquil rejuvenation we needed. We took this getaway for my partner to have a change of scenery in computer-based "work from home," and so I could quietly chip away at a music recording project. This spot couldn't have been better: with a wraparound porch, she could work outside while I sang in the second level of the (very well insulated) cabin.
The outdoor shower was a dream. The kitchen had everything two foodies needed, and we loved the cozy home library feel of the main space. The continuous two-floor corner window—with plenty of privacy drapes!—was gorgeous. Temperature control was delightful.
We can't wait to come back in fall/winter months to revel in the magic of the woodstove.

I am a HomeAway/VRBO property owner in another state and I have a house in Charlottesville, which is rented, so I can't stay there while in town.
I have stayed at this property twice - 2013 and 2015. First was fun, an adventure. There were issues with a leaky sink faucet and circa 1980's polyester bed linens. The second-time, *nothing* had changed. The owner is making hand-over-fist income from this tree-house and putting nothing into basic upgrades. Oh, and I learned my lesson to bring my own firewood.
This is a cheap, tacky gimmick of an vacation rental.
I understand a tree-house rental experience should be fun and rustic. But smaltzy bed linens and nearly non-working sink faucet reminded me of the axiom: BUYER BEWARE.

We loved our stay in the Treehouse! It was cozy, well-equipped, and just what we were looking for in a weekend place in Charlottesville. We had easy access to everything we wanted to do in town. We were there during a heat spell but the window a/c units kept us quite cool. I absolutely adored the outdoor shower - such a pleasant experience! Would definitely stay there again!

The house was peaceful and comfortable---in walking distance from old town, but also far enough to feel rural. There's a nice paved path nearby for running and walking. My favorite part of the property is the awesome porch. I have to admit, I spent most of my time on the porch reading, relaxing, and drinking wine. I slept wonderfully and am thankful for the a/c unit! The radio also was a nice touch. The outdoor shower is quaint and I really liked having the sheet dividers outside for additional privacy. I would recommend this property and also come back with friends!

This is not the Embassy Suites. As long as you aren't expecting that, and don't mind the liberating experience of showering outside, this is a great place. Don't plan on watching TV (there isn't one), but the WiFi is ample to stream some Netflix. The porch is great, and the wood stove is perfect for a cold C-Ville night. We did have one problem...black ants. Anytime we were eating, the ants were there. Also, if you have small children, the ladder to the loft might make you nervous. All said, I would definitely stay here again. Leora is a great hostess.

My son and I stayed in this charming tiny home! We loved discovering all the little details that made it so special. The location was fantastic. It was easy to get to the downtown area as well as the interstate. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating.
We can't wait for our next visit!
