Reception staff were the best I've ever come across, room was outstanding, spacious, super clean and right in the heart of Darby Street. Very close to restaurants, pubs and bars. No need to use the car. We were really impressed that Crown on Darby offered secure car parking for a small fee.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Great location and very nice room and facilities. However we had to call for a repair to the shower which was quickly fixed. The air conditioning was noisy but seemed to settle after running for a while. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Service and check in was excellent. Keys and clear instructions were given to us as we checked in after hours. Very comfy bed, spotlessly clean, secure parking underneath and excellent location-step out to restaurants and cafes.

While we appreciate the car park, don't like paying an extra $25 per day. It's OK for short stays but we think twice if we stay longer. There is a strange sunroom type arrangement adjoining the room with plantation shutters but the light came into our room all night from the courtyard through the bathroom window which shone into the bedroom. Not good. A tea/coffee maker was advertised but actually you just get a kettle with instant coffee (ugh) and green teabags (which I don't like). These days, most decent places have a nespresso machine and pods or similar. This would bring the accommodation up to date.

Close to nice cafes and restaurants

Unfortunately there was makeup on the inside is the mirror cupboard and in the bathroom.

Staff are excellent - friendly and super helpful. The location is awesome - right in the middle of several great shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Parking is secure and undercover, which we were particularly looking for. We've stayed here for our last 2 visits to Newcastle and highly recommend it.

Bit of a leaky shower which would have got annoying for a longer stay, but nothing too bad. Room was a lot smaller than I expected, but that was my mistake as I didn't realise when booking how much bigger the room we'd had previously was in comparison.

Wonderful and helpful staff. They were extremely accomodating for our last minute change in situation and needs. Very clean, spacious and comfortable room. Central location was great.

Very soft beds - would be comfortable if you like a soft bed. Unfortunately due to the central location, the noise of an evening was a bit of a disturbance. Rooms were well sound proofed but the bar music was still quite audible.
