Great property very well equipped

Needs some maintenance but nothing to detract from your stay

Dryer not the best, locks on bedrooms can lock by themselves but phoned number given they came straight away to fix it

The property was clean, bedding was fresh and a good location for commute into London. The property manager Chris was really kind.

The amount of items that are broken or unsafe was ridiculous. For people staying with children or older family members you would need to be mindful of this for example: first floor shower, no none- Slip mat, lounge rug curled up and my dad tripped within the first hour. Pool table ripped, broken cupboards, plugs not working in bathroom or kitchen. Just simple things that would make the stay perfect. Random ‘inspirational’ quotes up the stairs which weren’t in keeping with the house.

We booked this property for a family weekend in London while attending my auntie's 70th birthday celebration. Overall, the house served its purpose. It was spacious enough to accommodate our family, we had the essentials we needed for a short stay, and we managed to get a reasonable night's sleep. Chris was attentive, responsive and communicated well throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The property itself has plenty of potential and could be a really lovely place to stay with a little more care and attention. It provided a convenient base for our family celebration, and despite a few shortcomings, we were able to enjoy our weekend.

Unfortunately, the property would benefit from considerably more care and attention. The furnishings were quite basic, some of the bedding appeared worn, and there were several maintenance issues, including damaged tiles and areas showing general wear and tear. Small details were also overlooked, such as the lack of bath mats and empty wall-mounted toiletry dispensers. The pool table was particularly disappointing. It appeared unstable, several balls were missing, and my daughter actually got a splinter from one of the cues. The children were excited to use it, but we felt uncomfortable allowing them to play because of its condition and the possibility of something breaking. The most uncomfortable part of our stay was an inspection of the property. Chris informed us on the evening of our arrival that an inspection would take place the following day. However, I felt this was very short notice, particularly as we had booked the property for a family weekend. The individual carrying out the inspection stood outside the property for some time before entering and walking through various rooms, seemingly checking different things. No identification was offered, and the experience felt intrusive and made several members of our group uncomfortable. While I appreciate that inspections may sometimes be necessary, I do question whether they should take place during a guest's stay, particularly without adequate advance notice or a clearer explanation of what to expect. Ultimately, the house was adequate for our needs, but the general upkeep and attention to detail were disappointing. It's a shame because the property has so much potential to be fantastic. With better maintenance, properly functioning facilities and greater consideration for guests' comfort and privacy, the experience could be significantly improved.
