Right on the beach. Room was clean with some updates. Staff friendly. For being right on beach can't go wrong.

This was my first time staying at this establishment. I had read fhe reviews, so the room not matching the pictures I was prepared for. The rooms are dated, but well maintained. The shower, however, was a different story. There was no way to adjust for height and it leaked down the base. The internet didn't work the entire time we was there. They really need to address that. Those are the only complaints that I have. It rained, so it was some kids downstairs making noise, but that's to be expected. The sound carries I guess from the building being older. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved that housekeeping didn't bother you early in the morning. The location is the star of the show though. The view right at the pier is very beautiful. Great value for the price. Would visit again.

Such a beautiful old motel. I love the view to both sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed the use of a kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Very friendly reception and welcome. Thank you for a nice visit.

Mattress had deep holes by just looking at it on both sides. Very small TV. 2 Kitchen chairs and no table. Mold around the top of the shower wall, I cleaned. Slept on top of the covers. Trash on outside my sliding door. But a really good location to the beach and pier. Paid $$$$ for a 1 star.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in October at the Admiral's Quarters. I can only comment on the room we stayed in, Rm 100. The room is old and dingy. It has a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The room has no overhead lights and is very very dark unless you open the curtain over the sliding glass door that doesn't open. The door faces the parking lot so if you open it everyone walking by looks into your room. There is no light over the stove or counter and it is hard to see anything. The room smells musty. There is no closet or any hooks or rail to hang anything. There is nothing to put a suitcase on, everything goes on the floor. All in all this room was dingy, dark, musty and not welcoming. The staff was nice though and the location is good. Maybe some rooms have been renovated but this one certainly hasn't been. It was a downer.

No elevator. Some areas needed paint. Great location for beach and fishing pier.

Staff was super friendly. Balcony view was awesome. Only take back is the floors are thin, so go high if you can. The gymnastics of a 4 year old above me ruined the otherwise perfect aesthetic.

Loved the area, within walking distance of everything. Older place, Great start to refurbishing, please continue. Very clean, comfy beds, soft and plentiful towels.

The location of the facility was wonderful. It does need some work. Grounds needed attention and the room itself was dated. Shower curtain was dirty and the drain was plugged. Water would fill up to our ankles when taking a shower. The silverware had dried food on most of it and the tray was dirty. Coffee pot was also dirty. We cleaned everything thing in the kitchen before we began using anything. Including wiping the wall down from splatter coffee. The front desk did not info us on the pools or any of its amenities. Also had to have the front desk lock the adjacent door in our room. Again the location was very nice.

Well people above us had music so loud we told the office so they told us to move rooms, this was after there was a fire and there are NO SMOKE DETECTORS IN THE ROOMS AT AT!!! THE LADY WORKING THE OFFICE EVEN SAID SHE WAS GLAD IT HAPPENED BEFORE THW OFFICE CLOSE OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WORSE THAN WHAT IT WAS. SO WHEN WE MOVE ROOMS THE COFFEE PIT WAS DIRTY AND HAD BEEN LEFT ON FROM THE PREVIOUS TIME SO THEY HADN'T CHECKED THAT, THEN WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MUSIC AND LOUDNESS AS BEFORE SO WE JUST DECIDED TO CUT OUT TRIP SHORT AND LEAVE. WE HAD TALK TO PEOPLE THAT HAD BEEN STAYING THERE FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND SAID THEY HAD NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THEY HAD THIS TIME AND THEY WERE RIGHT BESIDE THE ROOM THAT CAUGHT FIRE,AND SAID THEY DIDN'T OFFER THEM ANYTHING OR OFFER TO HELP THEM AT ALL!!! WHAT ASHAME!!!

I booked at the admirals quarters which in the pictures in their website show renovated rooms. The room we arrived at was at the sand dunes next door and not at all like the pictures. Wet carpet, stains on beddings, damp sheets, and musty smell in the room.

We really like it at Kure Beach and have stayed there for years. We always like to stay near the pier. Sonce Admirals Quarters has made some updates on the rooms we have stayed with them a few times. We like the location and atmosphere. Easy access to the beach and within walking distance to everything. Our room was pool view, bottom level, with a full kitchen. The room was clean. The tub/shower needed to be updated. It was old and dingy. Appeared to be the only thing they had not replaced. Also, it's a little pricey to stay there but so is everything else around there. We went through Expedia to get it a little cheaper.

Property is run down and rooms dirty for $300 for a Saturday night! Very disappointed!

very reasonably priced and kitchen was set up well. Parking is an issue, one pass per room, and it is tight. Always want to complement owners who have remodeled from original construction. Would stay again.

Like almost all the properties in Kure Beach, Admiral's Quarter is an old-school no-frills place, which I honestly enjoyed. Everything felt clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and as a solo traveler, I never felt unsafe. It was just enough for a quick trip to the beach, and the balcony was a great place to sit after a long day. On top of that, the location was right near the fishing pier and several restaurants and a coffee shop. 10/10 would stay here again!

The front desk staff was very pleasant. Allowed for early check-in and was offered an upgraded room at no additional cost. Great view of the ocean and the pier. Very retro nostalgic lodging and was just what was looking for.

One night couple getaway. Ocean view balcony room on third floor (310) with kitchenette and two queen beds. It was HOT out when we checked in. We opened the door to the AC set to 60 degrees and it was breath from Heaven! The room was spacious and clean. I’ve stayed in better, but I’ve definitely stayed in far worse. A few leak stains in the ceiling, small vanity sink in the bathroom, small towels, etc. Absolutely nothing major enough to be a jerk and complain about. The room had a slight cigarette smell (my husband used to smoke and said he didn’t notice, however a nose as big as mine smells everything). The room was missing a hair dryer, but the front desk was more than pleasant and quick to assist when I asked for one. They even let us check in a little early and check out a little late so we could enjoy more beach time! All of the staff we encountered were super friendly and great representatives for their employer! (End of the season bonus maybe? Hint, hint.) We walked right across the street to eat supper at Big Daddy's seafood restaurant (great shrimp!) and then walked a few yards to the convenient store for snacks and drinks to take back to the room (because we’re fatties). The area itself is a little crowed/congested as it has been for years, but the Admiral’s Quarters was a great place to stay and I would have no problem staying here again. Thanks for a great night. Hopefully the next stay will be a little longer!

I believe the property is slowly making upgrades. Overall the room was clean. But the pictures of the room online, while accurate, did not show the entirety of the room. The carpet, couch, dresser, and mini fridge were functional, but in need of an upgrade. The room did not look as bright a fresh as the impression you get from the pics. Mattresses are older, but we slept fine on them. This property has great beach access and ample parking. Close to the restaurants in town and the pier. Very quite except for the AC unit, which is a window unit mounted thru the wall. Fan runs continuously and then the compressor just kicks on and off.
