Overall the house and property was great! A few things could use some updating, including the beds. There were 4 adults (2 couples) staying in the house. The bed in the "queen room" dipped in the middle meaning my partner and I spent the nights readjusting. The king room was also uncomfortable. And just based on us testing the "kids" room, those beds weren't even worthy of being called beds, more like a nap mat.
As some other reviews have said, the neighbors were kind of noisy and so were the dogs, but that didn't bother us.
Everything else was great though!

Home was clean ans close to what we needed (state softball playoffs). The dock provided ample room for fishing and the girls even found a tiny box turtle. Ducks were in the yard each morning. I would say bring conditioner and laundry pods. The pool table was nice too one the mosquitoes started in.

Very clean home, clean yard, and great location. Very close to town to go to restaurants as well as on the lake with access to launch kayaks. Also very close to lake Ouachita to launch kayaks. Great Lake for cruising the neighborhood, it was hard to get away from houses, However lake Ouachita is ALL NATURE kayaking. Our dog Bo loved running around the yard, and there were balls n toys for him. The neighbor dogs kept him company. Every house surrounding had dogs, so it was ULTRA dog friendly neighborhood. Foggy bag dispenser on back covered porch, made doggy clean up easier.
It was a nice touch having a big screen tv in the pool table room with a nice bar set up and seating. Horseshoe game outside was fun. Cards to play poker were fun. We were always entertained, we barely sat and watched tv, even when it rained out, having a few beers and playing pool was a plus.
Lots of inflatable kayaks in the yard (not sure if we were allowed to use, but didn’t because we bought our own kayaks).
Lots of good seasonings and dishware (pots, pans, baking sheets etc.) even foil, in kitchen for cooking.
They have a drip coffee maker and a keurig but no pods, so if bringing coffee pods, I’d make sure they are compatible with their machine. I brought my whole nespresso machine and pods, so not an issue for me.
Loved our stay and will be back again. This place is great if you’ve got extra guests, kids, or dogs. Plenty of rooms, beds, and BATHROOMS lol.

The 5 of us (my husband, myself, my mil and our 2 kid 11&9) had an enjoyable time. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in, plenty of extras (condiments, salt and pepper, spices, laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner). Beds were comfortable, I absolutely loved the game room. We played several games of pool. My kids enjoyed the board games and tv as well. The deck was great to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the views from the lake. My kids each caught 5 fish each and were super excited about it. The water was pretty dirty so we didn’t swim but I’m sure that’s part of being in a cove/ with storms and such. Should we ever be in the area again we would
Definitely use their rental if available! Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay. Also! They provided tons of info about the area which was very helpful in us finding a great swim beach at Lake Catherine to swim.
