For the most part this is a great old house up on the mountainside close to Coeur d'Alene. There is no water view, but the yard and trees and horses are all wonderful.
This house has made a serious effort to preserve the old farmhouse feel while accommodating all the modern necessities. For me that made it great fun.
The loud part of this review title has to do with the tremendous surround sound media room in the basement and the turntable with classic vinyl in the living room.
The quiet part is everything else. The surroundings are so peaceful. You can hear the birds, chipmunks, horses, even the breeze.
There are three bathrooms, each on a different level. No "ensuite" but you are never far away. There are four very comfortable bedrooms including the one in the basement.
The stairs are genuine old stairs, you have to duck when going downstairs and you have to be aware that there is one more step when heading to the bathroom.
We spent one day exploring Spokane. Two days on the water at Coeur d'Alene. With the longest floating boardwalk in America, the river and lake cruises, the beach, and Cedars floating restaurant it is almost hard not to be on the water. But we used one day just enjoying the house as well. And the Sunday pot roast was wonderful!

The home is very charming. The host was very welcoming. The home is nicely staged in a modern farmhouse style. Plenty of bedrooms and bed, with 3 bathrooms and ample parking for our 3 vehicles for our party of 8. The farm style porch draws you in and would be lovely to sit and take the view on warm days and nights. We saw 2 deer and then were surprised to have a flock of turkeys (about 20) come and visit twice in one day. The children were ecstatic as well as the adults to see them. The view of the meadow across from the front of the house with horses and a pond with a fountain with the changing color of the trees was beautiful. The host has plenty of games, books and even a record player and record collection for extra entertainment. There is a private office in the She Shed that we didn't use, but a wonderful option.
