We returned here for a three-night stay, having loved it so much last year. Once again, it did not disappoint. The ambient is very cosy and welcoming, and the beds are exceptionally comfy for a good night's sleep. The apartment is completely equipped with everything you could possibly need. The full kitchen is a big plus and makes the space ideal for longer stays.

The design of the Art Deco flat is superb. The bathroom and toilet (separate) in particular are tiled and fitted with real retro fixtures. The main room is huge with high ceilings and comfortable furniture. It's at ground floor on a noisy street though. The kitchen is large and would be easy to cook in (we didn't cook). There was some tea left by the owner as well as some cooking oil and salt and the other basics (olive oil would be better than sunflower especially for salads). The host Lucia is kind and courteous. If you want a stylish place nearby the main train station in Banska Bystrica, her Art Deco flat is a good choice.

While the main bedroom is very quiet on the courtyard side, it's down a staircase in the basement. It's a bit moist and dank. For those who suffer from bronchitis or have a cough, it's probably better to sleep upstairs. But the main room is noisy because of the traffic outside the street side window, particularly on work days. Plan to rise very early.
