Fabulous and such friendly staff, we loved our stay and all the staff make you feel like you are at home.

Room and facilities were very good. Very nice bar and restaurant, it felt very welcoming and the staff were excellent.

Would have liked some bottles of drinking water in the rooms. A better selection of vegetarian meals on the menu would be good.

Hotel situated in a lovely location with sea views and rooms were all well fitted and very comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nice touch with the free drink if you are only staying for a few days and don’t need the room cleaned!

My only real criticism is if you park at the front of the hotel you have to walk to the other side of the bar to check in and this is not sign posted. If staying park at the rear where it is more accessible. Only one lift which is through a few doors and I am not aware of any rooms on the lower floor so unsure what options are available for people with accessibility needs.

This is my second time at this hotel and this visit was as good as my first. The location is great with the beach across the road and accessible restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The beds are so comfortable. There was an issue with my room and this was dealt with promptly and I was moved rooms. This is excellent customer care and I want to thank the staff member that dealt with this. I will return to stay.

On stepping inside full of dogs & reserved tables which is fine but turning up at 12 to just have drinks & unable to sit at tables as were reserved for 3pm

No staff to check in all on a self serve basis. Rooms not very well sign posted. Food and drink are expensive. Room was next to stairs and a door which was noisy most of the night. We only got one key so when partner went out to have a cigarette everything in the room went off. Unclear how to get 2 cards. Same to check out all self service

All newly refurbished, lovely and clean.

The pillows were so uncomfortable we both had a terrible nights sleep and left with neck ache! They had spare pillows in the rooms but they were just the same. No staff at reception to discuss. We wouldn’t go back as we paid over £300 for a terrible nights sleep!

Really nice friendly atmosphere - very homely and warm

Breakfast wasn’t out on time at 7am and I had an early start - was waiting on eggs for ages as not been cooked yet. Bit frustrating when wanting to enjoy full English breakfast and not all ingredients are there.

My room, a single appeared to be over the kitchens. A door below was closing loudly and shaking the room from check-in till after 11pm and started again at 6am. It really affected sleep. There is not a check in desk for the hotel, it's a poorly signed screen/till at one end of the bar. I passed it three times before asking and being told it was the check in 'area'.

Bar/restaurant are lovely and the food was good. Hotels location is perfect to walk in to Tynemouth or Whitley Bay, and you're right on the beach. Staff were great. Dog friendly which is a bonus so we could take our pup!

The only thing I can say is that the room we had was right beside a train line that was really noisy, but it was a dog friendly room so pros and cons!

Didn’t have anyone on reception 24 hours although the night manager did have a mobile number No bath towels left on our final day and we didn’t return to room late Unable to have shower the next day!!!

We dined in restaurant in a very large group. Good food and fantastic service. They made the night really great.

The checkout is very early. It is at 10:30am. I think the hotel should change this to 12:00pm. More gluten free options for breakfast.

Check in at the bar area rather than separate reception is too crowded with people’s luggage. Staff not always available at reception because they’re serving at bar. Someone’s underwear left on floor in bedroom when we checked in. Breakfast ending at 9.30 is too early on a weekend. Plates weren’t warm and food was only warm - not hot. Decor in bar is not in keeping with art deco building - all very dark, 90s style not appealing. Prices too high for drinks and food. Not even asked if we’d enjoyed our stay at checkout.

Beautiful hotel, great view (sea view), nice food and drinks, quick service on night time. Check in and check out quick. Room was small but very clean.

Told to leave our seats between starter and main, said they forgot to reserve it. Not reserved for people but for the band playing at 9pm, we got moved at 4pm. Weren’t prepared to find us a table until we asked for it. Ran out of coffee and plates at breakfast and lots of staff just talking. Helpful if asked but shouldn’t have to ask for these things. Made to feel like an inconvenience when we spent a lot of money there on the night time and to stay.
