First of all: good mattress. Thick, recent, firm enough but not hard. I slept alone but I am positively sure this mattress is large enough for two without feeling squeezed. Basic and simple room with a balcony overlooking the street. A large separate closet offers plenty of storage for bags and clothes. A wall mounted flat screen TV faces the bed. Toilet and bathroom in a corridor next to the room: you won't meet anyone in this corridor, it remains dedicated to the guest and separated from the rest of the house.
Narrow one way street with limited parking. Apparently people in this street won't appreciate if you park in front of their house. Fortunately the host parked her own car further to allow me the perfect parking spot right in front of the lodge which I'm thankful for.
A spiral staircase outside the house leads to the room. Go easy, especially if you have a bad knee and some bags.
Tea/coffee facilities would nice. (I understand some owners want to avoid stains at all cost).
