An older and modest building with small, basic rooms, but very clean and comfortable, and with the typical Fijian way of kindness and helpfulness. A good value.

The staff were friendly and nice to us during our stay, and we were only there for one night.

Unfortunately, our experience was a little frustrating after arriving following a long journey. The EFTPOS machine wasn’t working when we arrived. We understood that things can go wrong, but there didn’t seem to be much effort to troubleshoot the issue. We spent around 30 minutes trying to tap and waiting for it to work; we suggested things like checking the internet connection or restarting the machine, but unfortunately nothing was really tried. We eventually suggested getting cash out instead, even though this meant paying additional ATM fees. The room itself had air conditioning, which was great, but the kitchen facilities were quite limited — there was no stove, oven or fridge. We also noticed a stain on the sheets. The biggest issue for us was the room location. It was right where breakfast was served, so we could hear people from around 6 am. The curtains also didn’t provide much privacy since our room was in the middle of the breakfast area and main walkway. People were regularly walking past or sitting nearby at breakfast, right outside the bedroom window. This didn’t feel particularly private or relaxing.
