Bill’s Cottage was everything my wife envisioned for the perfect English countryside experience. It was easy to find, easy to access, and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. There was a fresh loaf of bread, flowers on the table, cake waiting for us, and even milk in the fridge so we could immediately make a pot of tea after our travels — such thoughtful touches.Mary checked in with us the next day to make sure everything was okay. She and her son live nearby on the property, but honestly, we never would have known they were there unless we needed them. It felt very private and peaceful.One of our favorite parts was Mary’s horse coming up to visit us looking for treats — which Mary kindly supplied. It added so much charm to the stay.The location was absolutely perfect. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet we were still conveniently close to everything we wanted to explore in the Cotswolds.Everything in the listing was accurate, and the cottage itself was beautiful, relaxing, and incredibly enjoyable. We truly loved our stay and would absolutely come back again.

We can recommend a stay at Bill's cottage. We stayed for a short week at Bill's cottage, the cottage is set of off a quiet street in the middle of the countryside. The accommodation has everything to provide for a family stay. Good sized bedrooms with plenty of space to accommodate 6 people. Nice beds, clean bathrooms an excellent kitchen and living room. We also really enjoyed the space for dropping our stuff and being able to do our laundry (which is a huge plus when travelling with toddlers). The owner is super kind and came to say hello when we arrived, she had foreseen a cake and left some eggs, bread for us as well. Finn the horse is a real pleasure for the kids, who loved to see him appear at lunch or dinner time. We really enjoyed our family time at this location and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The cottage is on a very quiet rural lane with pleasant walks straight from the door. it is right in the middle of open countryside - we saw partridges, pheasants, deer and Red Kites as well as the smaller birds who fed at the feeder. We were very impressed by the cottage itself - the rooms were all good sizes, it had all the facilities that we needed, and the heating kept it very warm (we went in Oct). There was a big television in the lounge, and a fast internet connection. The welcome goodies included a lovely touch of a sponge cake, along with bread, milk, eggs from the farm, and logs for the fire. The owner was very helpful when we met her. All in all, we thoroughtly enjoyed our stay here.
