Mirage Place B&B

The location is very convenient to Catania’s night life and the Piazza del Duomo cathedrals. The room was priced accordingly for the end of September and Luca was easy to communicate with. As an American living in Italy, I’m used to properties like this. Expect minimal signage, parking challenges, tiny elevators, etc.

The motion sensor lights in the hallways don’t always ‘sense’ when you’re there, and without windows, it’s pitch black for a second or two. The bathroom was small and the door opened towards where you’re standing in the room. It was a tight fit squeezing between the wall and the door. The stairs to the 1st floor are the best bet. The elevators are classic Italian and the size of a payphone booth.

Placement close to sights and train and bus station. Checkout is quite early at 10 am like in most places in Sicily but they were kind enough to store our baggage and lucus allowed us to use the rest room and some water on our return to collect our bags.

Quite noisy at night with noise. From the street and from the passage besides the rooms at night

Luca, the Manager, was a good communicator assisting us as required.

Very small cramped bathroom.
