The Wight House B&B

Central location , clean and light outlook. Friendly helpful staff

The room in general plus the outside area.

Very hilly location , with a long trek from the seafront to undertake.

Comfortable, good value for money. Very convenient to access the Medina Parkrun Parking availability in the Coop

Nothing

Clean and in a good location, 4 x bottled water in the room was a good little extra. The host in the morning was welcoming and attentive.

Room no 1 is a little small & the toilet is squeezed in and I could only sit on it if I sat at 45° angle as there's a boxed area in front of the toilet that prevents sitting on it normally. I found the breakfast disappointing, on arrival the cooked breakfast looked great but the sausage & the bacon were obviously an economy brand & the coffee was insipid either a cheap brand or limited amount in the cafetier. The mattress & pillows were equally an economy brand, the mattress was a sprung kind and not very supportive & you could feel the sideways movement when sat on it or when laying down. The shower and light switches are hidden by the sliding bathroom door and again there was no reference in the room as to the need to flick one of the switches if you want any hot water from the shower. The shower itself is a good sized booth but the rail that holds the shower head is covered in rust at the top. The sliding door isn't very quiet so if you or your partner use the toilet at night there's a good chance you'll hear them. I'm pleased we had booked the Chapel Barn in Binsted the next evening which was the same price but a marked contrast although no breakfast included. I wish we had stayed there both nights lots of space quality bedding and equipment in the kitchen and a self contained little barn. When we return this is where we will be staying.
