The position of this house is perfect. Ardres is a charming little town with excellent restaurants - all walkable from the house.
The house is elegant and typically French. The bathrooms are beautiful and everything was spotless. It is very well equipped.
The stairs are very steep - my 87 year old mum found them a bit tricky and as there was no bathroom downstairs it meant she had to go up and down a few times a day. We coped fine but I think it is a useful thing to consider if you are travelling with elderly folk or very young children.
