The Yellow Farmhouse and grounds were excellent! The early 1900's house has been meticulously updated using top tier furnishings, features, and appliances, including a Wolf stove and Sub Zero refrigerator. There was plenty of lighting and warm water as well as large TV screens in the living area and bedrooms, although we never used them. Kitchen and living areas are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out after a day in wine country. The grounds are amazing. We sat under the umbrellas by the pool, played bocce, and walked among the rows of grape vines, never leaving the backyard. Although we didn't use them, there was a full outdoor kitchen with a very large gas grill as well as a gas firepit and hot tub. The location is walking distance to Sonoma Plaza, which was great. We walked there for both brunch (Sunflower Caffe) and dinner (El Dorado Kitchen). We even walked the park in the square and to the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, which was featuring a Dorothy Lange photo exhibit. We were minutes from local wineries, like our visit to Roche Vineyards, and dinner at Wit & Wisdom but also close enough to Napa that we enjoyed everything from Bouchen Bakery and Stag's Leap Winery (Yountville) to St. Helena for shopping and dinner (Charter Oak). Our host Phyllis always responded promptly to questions and the checkout list minimal, making our stay an easy one. In short, an excellent experience all around.

Lovely long weekend in the Yellow Farmhouse with sister and brother in law. Enjoyed the pool, playing bocce boll and eating al fresco outdoors....lovely garden with small vineyard with beautiful ripening grapes! Kitchen and family room was well used and comfy. And we never had to drive to the Plaza....it was always close enough to walk!
