This is a wonderful property. The beds were very comfortable (not a given in a rental property) and everything was very clean. There was plenty of room for four adults to spread out (and plenty of room for a bigger family). We came to Mentone from Atlanta to spend time with our daughter, who was between sessions counseling at a nearby summer camp. Her older sister joined us from Nashville. We had a great time. It is close enough for the energetic family members to walk to Desoto Falls to go hiking (and a super short drive for the less energetic to join the hikers for a picnic). My husband and I had dinner at Elevation before our daughters arrived (it was amazing and can compete with any Atlanta restaurant), Moon Lake Kitchen (also surprisingly good - my Mississippi ranked the catfish a 10 and we are still thinking about the appetizers) and pizzas from Mentone Market. The views here are great. We also went to Brow Park for a sunset view that can compete with Key West. We loved our stay and would return.

Great property!

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Everything was fantastic.

Plusses: Roomy (except only 5 dining chairs?), well stocked, comfortable beds, 2/3 view of sunset was very good.Take aways: Large 2 story cabin in front to the left partially blocked "brow" view and took away from viewing sunsets. NO large deck or porch with multiple chairs to sit out together. The DOORS are awful, ones to go outside and the inner doors were bad as well! Half of us had to eat in living room since only had 5 dining chairs at table. Owners live next door with 3-4 large dogs who barked at us from their deck or windows every time we stepped outside. Doubtful that we would stay here again (all adults felt this way!).
