Chez l’Alsacien is a gem! Not only is it impressively decorated in beautiful Alsatian style (I even asked if they were professional interior decorators!) but the owners’ hospitality and enthusiasm shines through in their care and attention to detail. The nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. You know how so many rentals leave you feeling like the owners don’t really want to be hosts (eg, missing supplies, bare furnishings, sparse bedding, mismatched and worn out kitchen equipment)? Not here! Everything was really nice and showed how much the owners care about their visitors’ experience. One small example: they had cooking supplies like flour, etc with the expiry date hand written on the canister so you knew it was fresh. Such care! And the owners even asked for constructive feedback when we checked out- that NEVER happens. They clearly go out of their way to continually improve. Kudos for a perfect model for all tourist rentals.

Nothing- it was perfect!
