Spacious, homely had everything we needed

I enjoyed the property

Location

The toilet was not plumbed correctly so the bathroom always smelled of sewage. Additional towel racks/hooks are needed. Main bedroom offered no privacy since there was no door and the wall did not extend to the ceiling. Dr Second bedroom was also problematic since the interior window did not block out light from the other areas of the apartment.

Clean & location

Some building work going on nearby little bit noisy in morning but not the fault of The Castle Collection

My mom always told me that if you didn't have something nice to say, don't say anything. She also told me that honesty is the best policy. I had stayed at your place around the corner and upstairs last year. I found it perfectly fine last year. And like that space, the one this year was similar, spartan but clean with basically everything you need. I was very grateful that you could send someone very promptly to turn one of the double beds into two singles. Thank you. The problem was...

...The problem was, the alleyway location was to put it mildly, terrible. I think it would be even worse, and very scary, if I were a single woman. Bottles were being throw into the nearby dumpsters for a solid five minutes at midnight both nights. Said dumpsters were loudly being rolled by my window at 7am the next morning. The second night there was yelling and screaming outside at midnight. On our second evening, we brought take away food back to our place, and a scruffy, dirty man, I'm assuming homeless, was sitting on our steps talking to himself. And when we checked out and stepped outside, we were greeted with someone's vomit just down from our stairway that we had to walk by.
