First, the kindness and availability of the hosts (and staff) who were always welcoming and ready to help. The location just at the bottom of Monsanto is great, with a peaceful and uninterrupted view from the bedrooms and swimming pool, making it super relaxing.
Breakfast was very good!
Only minor issues with the shower tray not draining fast enough, and leaking very quickly into the bathroom.

Gorgeous, restored old farm house . Very comfortable and upmarket. Beautiful pool and very relaxing surrounds. Wonderful staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.
Monsanto itself is a steep but idyllic walk away with incredible views. Monsanto is spectacular, and unique with all the huge boulders.
1. Very narrow lane to drive down to the property quiet but would be near impossible to pass another car. Good parking at the end though. A sign on the Main road would be good.
2. A bit isolated and although they offer breakfast there are just drinks and snacks for the rest of the day. You will have a good walk to a nearby restaurant, or brave the narrow one-way lane in!

Excellent stay. The location, the rooms, the view, the peacefulness, the infinity pool, the breakfast all outstanding. Add to that, the Hosts are welcoming and helpful with travel advice.
I really can't think of anything negative. And usually you find little things to complain about. You can tell they run a great operation and always looking after the guests.
