The location was fantastic. It was a three or four minute walk to the Cavour subway stop and a easy walk to major tourist sites, churches, and restaurants. The furnishings gave the place character which lacks in so so many other places. It was quiet despite being close to a major road and the police station was on the same street. Most of the street is well lit which provided comfort when walking back the flat at night. The main street isn't well lit so many people walk down the street the flat is on. The bed was a bit stiffer then my own but really comfy after a long day of walking around Rome. I appreciated the Air Conditioning units (mini-splits) in both rooms as it was still quite warm during the day. There are a few small grocery stores within walking distance of the flat. I chose Elite and grabbed some of their freshly prepared Ravioli. I made that for dinner and it was one of the best meals I had in Rome. Plus the four minute walk meant I didn't have far to walk with a bag of groceries. **I had no issue with the stairs leading up to the apartment but those with roller bags and those with mobility challenging may have problems. **

1. Management did not coordinate with the cleaners. I came back to the room to discover the apartment door open. I had no idea anyone would be there cleaning the flat prior to the established check out time. 2. Clean-ish but not super clean. Wasn't thrilled picking up someone's toe nails off the floor and Dental floss pick once I settled in. Wash machine need a cleaning and the place needs a good dusting too. That said, Management had someone come the next day and mop the place again. 3. Water pressure does not exist here. A leaky faucet has more water pressure then this place. Very challenging to wash dishes with a trickle of water. There is not dishwasher which is okay, but have some water pressure. It took longer to wash the dishes then to make the food.

When we first arrived I was disappointed! Shabby street, shabby block and ‘interesting’ apartment. Second floor - lots of steps. Two lights didn’t work - was reported to the host who said he would fix them and did nothing! During our 5 night stay I actually warmed to the place. Great location, we walked everywhere, ‘wacky’ is probably my polite description. Lots of good restaurants and the tube nearby. Good heating, kitchen - not too well equipped. Bed was comfortable but extra pillows and duvet had no covers. Bathroom was a bit smelly - drains I think. Expensive - but probably quite good for Rome!

Beautifully presented, very charming, lots of space, great location

The 40 stairs were challenging with the bags, but Federico helped us and it was just the one time when we arrived. Otherwise we managed just fine.
