The host was kind. He arranged for us to pay a little less than what we booked for and we had a nice talk together. He tried to help when I encountered issues with the wifi. I saw a crab of a protected species. The place is walking distance from a quieter part of a nice beach.

The bed sheets were unacceptably dirty. Large brownish rings of I'd rather not know what and big white stains like someone brushed its teeth and just spat repeatedly in the bed. I don't think it was what some people would think it was but disgusting no matter what and I'm not disdainful of maniac about cleanliness, far from it. This is unacceptable even if the room was free. For the rest. the price is relatively cheap but not dirt cheap. But what you get IS a dirt cheap room. Here's why: it had no lights besides the ceilling light which was an extremely bright fluorescent. A single cheap bedside lamp would be a tremendous upgrade. Being on the first floor, I would change the curtains for more privacy. The wifi just did not work. I asked the owner and he tried to restart the router but it did little to nothing to help. For international travelers who have limited or no data available, it's a big handicap. The toilet didn't flush, had to take the top off and do it old school. I'm sure the owner is well-intentioned but from what I've seen not enough is being done. The room(s) need serious care.
