Alec's Hotel

Very family-friendly. Swam nearly everyday myself and my kids were there during our 5-day stay. Decent sized breakfast too, whilst dining outdoors next to the pool watching the morning television. Safe and secure as well with a coded-gate for after hours access and card-key to open and operate the room. The room was huge as well fitting 4 double beds and 1 single bed. Great to be within walking distance to Lynn’s supermarket as well as giordanos pizza just across the road. Great staff too and it’s even better knowing that the medical centre is on the same premises too. Wifi worked well too.

Even though an older property, for the price it was good value. The staff was amazing!

They could upgrade the bathrooms, it was old school

Breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly. Owner and is wife were warm and generous. Room was spacious and met our needs. Room service once a week and they did a great job!

It was noisy some of the early morning hours from next door neighbours dogs and roosters crowing. And at times loud music. TBH we weren’t bothered too much with it. And we’d actually stay there again because the owner and his wife, and staff were lovely.

Clean, comfortable, a good big room. Comfortable beds. Quite a good breakfast, better than I expected.

Pool looked dirty. Not an attractive outdoor/patio area. Had a lot of trouble checking in - no-one there at reception, kept ringing, no reply, had to hunt down the staff, finally found the cleaners who found the reception staff. Thought the place was abandoned. This was rather frustrating, it was past the 2pm check in time, athough I didn't let anyone know when we were arriving, except for enroute, and we were 20 minutes earlier than predicted. Only 1 roll of toilet paper, used our own.
