The accommodation was adequate, particularly as i was on my own. The bed was comfortable, and clean, and the kitchen had reasonable appliances, although the cutlery/crockery/glasses were on the basic side for self-catering; again, good job I was on my own.

The room would have been too small if I had been staying with anyone with me - there was only one armchair, and the 'sitting area' was just the space at the end of the bed, the television was high up on a shelf (and quite small) and was barely possible to watch. I did not meet the owner, so cannot attest to other reviews about how friendly and helpful he was. Accessing the key was difficult as, despite in two emails saying the code was enclosed, I had to wait outside for a further email exchange to receive the code - I appreciate anyone can make a mistake, but this was a little frustrating after a long journey. As the village is very rural, few shops apart from the 'regional specialities' shops I was a little disappointed that there was no welcome pack (Usually where I stay bread/milk/water etc are provided) but perhaps that was expecting too much. I am not disabled, but I am 72 y o, and the flight of stairs up to the studio nearly defeated me. This was virtually vertical - no mention of this made in the description and every time I went up or down, particularly with bags, I was conscious of how easy it would have been to fall down the stairs! I was surprised not to have seen anything about this in the description (even a photo!) as it could easily be a deal breaker for anyone mobility impaired. I left the day before my last day, as I was uncomfortable at moving my belongings down the stairs, taking out rubbish/recycling etc before the deadline of 10:00 am, and stayed at a hotel restaurant nearby. All in all, I thought this was a little expensive for an out-of-season, pretty basic and not very accessible property - yes, it was not far from Mont St Michel, but did not have a lot else going for it...
