The location is spectacular! Check in was easy, and the apartment is very spacious. The balcony overlooking the water was very enjoyable. Beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is adequate, although one bedroom does not have A/C the unit in the sitting area provides enough cold air to cool the second bedroom. There is no A/C in kitchen or bathroom, but it wasn't a problem at all. Mattresses are comfortable and the area is quiet at night. The host, Luca, answered the phone promptly when we had a minor issue and was very friendly. Washer and dryer worked well.

We were given a total of two rolls of toilet paper, 1/2 roll of paper towels, one bath towel and one hand towel each for 5 nights! The curtains are dreadful-so long in one bedroom that it blocks the A/C and in the second bedroom it will not close and sunlight came in each morning. I asked in advance for the twin bed to be made into a double but that was not done. Only enough hot water for one person to shower, but it is probably impossible to install a larger unit and we adjusted by showering at different times. It is clean enough to stay in, but it could use a deep cleaning.

It’s location, location, location. An old building and a home with heritage, modern touches and vibe. The most comfortable bed and how well it was setup for our use. And the host was considerate, kind and attentive.

It was clean where it needed to be but not in others. This is a woman talking here - there was dust and spider webs in the corners. Or dust on a nick knack. These are minor but noticed.

The location was fantastic! Beautiful views of Lake Como from a small balcony. Easy walking to restaurants, shops, amazing views, and a gelateria just below the apartment. Stroll along the waterfront to get to the ferry docks. Stroll the other way through Varenna and to the town center. It's an ideal location. Just know there are steps to get down or up to the apartment depending on which way you come in. The main bedroom was nice and comfortable. Bath towels and a thoughtful small toiletry packet were displayed nicely on the bed. The 2nd bedroom did work for 2 people, but would be more comfortable for one.

We had a few issues with the apartment during our stay. The shower backed up and we had to clean out the drain as they would call the plumber after our checkout. The floors were quite dirty as we found out when we walked around in socks or bare feet. Some dishes/pots in the kitchen weren't clean either, and there were a lot of ants.
