Boutique Hotel Casa Elefanteis located steps from the tourist/market area of Tlaquepaque. This hotel was a very good value for us. The staff were attentive and aim to please. There is an electronic entrance so coming and going was very easy. The room was comfortable and had a bathroom that was uniquely decorated with a wonderful walk-in shower. There is a sitting area outside the rooms ... like a mirador .... on the second floor isolated from the street scene. The night lighting was rustic and soothing in the outdoor space. The area was quite safe and there is a large school nearby so there was activity that added to the comfort of stepping out. Active but not so active as in the tourist spot that was steps away. On Sundays the streets nearby are closed to traffic from morning until mid-afternoon providing access to the Guadalajara network of bicycle routes; so if partaking in the Sunday ride is your thing then this place is a perfect base. We are glad we stayed at Casa Elefanteis and would return if we are in the area again.
