* The location is a little away from the busy town area, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. It has a slower, more relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a getaway. * The mornings were especially pleasant, with fresh air and very little noise. It was nice to wake up feeling away from the hustle and bustle. * At night, the area is beautifully dark, and on a clear evening you can enjoy a beautiful view of the stars. It was definitely one of the highlights of the stay.

Use to be my favorite stay at Le Cielo Umalas. Although the location is a little far from town, I still chose to return because I had a good experience during my previous stay in 2025. Unfortunately, this time I was quite disappointed. Compared to my previous visit, the property now feels noticeably more aged and seems to be lacking proper maintenance. * The bathroom had quite a lot of spider webs. * The cabinet door underneath the sink was broken. * There was visible greenish residue around the openings of the shower gel and shampoo pump bottles, which looked unhygienic and gave the impression that they had not been properly cleaned for some time. * The towel holder was broken and slightly twisted, causing the towels to fall off whenever we hung them on it. This is a small maintenance issue, but it would be good to have it fixed. * We checked in quite late and were offered welcome drinks, which was a nice gesture. However, after housekeeping came to clean the room, the used glasses were not removed. We returned to the room in the evening and found that they were still there. * We placed the glasses outside the room, but they remained there until the following day evening. Eventually, we had to ask the staff to remove them. It was a small matter, but it was noticeable and made us feel that the housekeeping service could have been more attentive. I also stayed at Le Cielo Batu Bolong during this trip, and the difference in service was quite noticeable. The staff at Batu Bolong were exceptionally friendly, attentive and helpful — truly beyond 5-star service. In comparison, the staff at Umalas seemed less interested in assisting guests. That said, they were still generally friendly and polite. I hope the management can pay more attention to the cleanliness, maintenance and service standards at Umalas. I really wanted to enjoy my return stay as much as I did in 2025.

Lovely detached container chalets. Receptionist was nice.

A weirdo guy kept pacing back and forth on the phone shouting in convos or laughing through our entire stay. From morning through to about 2am. We wake up, dress, go out and come back to him still on phone. Breakfast wasn't delicious produce. Fruits were little and not quality. Foods presented needs to be covered at all times, even if you leave it outside because it was opened daily until my friend as for a foil. I suggest owners look at the structure especially showers as building is rusting and causing damp inside room.

I loved that it was quiet and relaxing and felt very private

The breakfast wasn’t great at all and the stafff always brought it late, the shower was horrible, only a trickle of water came out and it was very little and it spurted randomly and it was cold water.
