Extremely expensive.

It was great to gind a twin room as most in Edinburgh are doubles. The room and bathroom were generally clean and well presented. There was an access code for the building which was quiet and secure. Tea/coffee making supplies were provided. Along with hair dryer and iron. There were two shower heads (a waterfall and a standard) with good pressure and lovely hot water. The toilet and basin were spotless and smelled bleachy clean and the bathroomhad an efficient extractor fan. The linens were fresh and smelled clean. Lights were bright and plenty of sockets. The supplied duvets were quite cosy and there was a quaint courtyard with tables.

The room was on a basement level with somewhat uneven stairs which it would have been helpful to know in advance. The provided towels were tiny: more like hand/hair towels and only 1 each and there was no mat in the bathroom so the floor got wet and slippery. There was some mould growth in the shower. The mattresses were very hard and one also had lumpy and wobbly springs. Due to the layout and socket position, the kettle had to be operated on the floor. There were no staff and enquury emails were not replied to. There was a little electric radiator, but it generally got only slightly warm so in the winter I hope the radiators would be working. For the price it felt a little spartan but that said it was perfectly good for our 2 night stay.
