IntercityHotel Lübeck

The hotel is located between the main train station and the bus terminal. In my case this was ideal, since I was travelling to Lubeck by train, and during my stay needed to travel by bus to my location. It is not in the city centre, but that is only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. Check-in goes through a terminal located at the reception desk. Although I arrived earlier than the official availability of my room, I could get into my room already, which was much appreciated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean, and so is the bathroom. Breakfast has a wide selection of things to choose from. Room keeping is done every three days unless you let them know you'd like it earlier. For me that was fine.

The wifi required me to sign in after relatively short periods, like one or two hours. Other than that, which was a minor issue, everything was fine.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Hotel mit komfortablen, modernen Zimmern und fabelhaften Betten, alles blitzsauber, hell und bequem. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und qualitativ sehr gut, aber irgendwie nichts Besonderes. Es fehlte der besondere Pfiff. Auch der Speiseraum und die Lounge sind sehr schön und geschmackvoll gestaltet und heben sich deutlich von dem tristen Schwarz und Grau vieler anderer neuerer Hotels ab. Ich werde wieder hier buchen.

Man muss das Zimmer sofort bezahlen, bevor man es überhaupt gesehen hat, bekommt aber die Rechnung erst am nächsten Tag, so dass man vor der Bezahlung gar nicht überprüfen kann, ob die Rechnung stimmt. Das ist sehr suspekt und ungewöhnlich und verlangt ein hohes Vertrauen in die Firma. Man ist vor Irrtümern nicht gewahrt und kann im Ernstfall erst am Folgetag reklamieren, was aber unmöglich ist, wenn man sehr früh wieder abreisen muss. Eine ganz windige und unseriöse Praxis!
