L’emplacement est parfait si on veut être au village mais loin du bruit et de l’agitation, tout en étant à quelques minutes des restaurants et commerce. La grande terrasse et la douche extérieure un grand plus. La propriétaire très gentille et disponible. Machine à laver très pratique. Clim utile dans les heures les plus chaudes.

La salle de bain s’ouvre sur la cuisine et les deux sont séparées uniquement par une porte coulissante en contreplaqué qui ne ferme pas complètement. Pas idéal pour l’intimité et l’hygiène. Le battant des toilettes était cassé. Cuisine petite et mal agencée. Lit confortable mais les draps trop petits pour le matelas et au moindre mouvement le lit était défait.

The location on top of the village was beautiful. You can find parking along the top access route and walk down a tad. Or walk up from village. Which requires very adequate mobility as it is steep. The view from the terrace was exceptional. Both day and night. The terrace is a the biggest draw. It has a built in sofa and a big marble table. There are also sun loungers. The sun is very bright and hot so terrace is usable when it’s cooler eves or mornings. It is covered but it is still hot during peak sun hours. Inside the house, the living room and the bedrooms remain cooler and stay fresh all day as house is built into rock. The beds were comfortable to sleep on. Bedding was nice and ample towels provided. There is a smaller room with a double bed and a larger room with two twin beds. There were ample good quality sample size toiletries to use. Soaps, lotion, conditioner and shampoo. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, tools and dishes. The decor of the house is eclectic with folk art touches and pleasant. The housekeeper (owner is not on Skyros) was delightful and helpful. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Overall it was a good stay and we would recommend it.

The bathroom is not made for taller folks as they will bump their head. I am 5.8” and it was ok, but over 6 feet is going to be problematic. Due to the house being built in rock, it remains cooler but also darker. The kitchen area feels somewhat cramped and you are squeezed in when washing dishes or cooking. There is a dining room with table and chairs, but the terrace is ideal for dining. There is no storage in closets except to hang clothes as all drawers are full. Not really an issue however, if you stay a few days. We never used a/c as it was cool at night. Can’t say anything about that. Lastly, it’s easy to find once you know, but it can be hard to locate the first round. We had to ask someone for help. You let yourself in with a code.
