The AFCC Conference room was too crowded, and populated to be comfortable entering and exiting the room. Additionally, there was poor visibility of the speaker panels.

The room was very big with great view of the river
The exit from the hotel is to the back of Rainey street. It feels unsafe - especially walking there at night. Fortunately I wasn’t by myself but if I was traveling alone this could have been very uncomfortable

I think what I liked about the location was the aesthetics and how the hotel is designed. One of my favorite things was the view I had out of my window. It was dirty, but I did enjoy watching the sunset.
A couple nights to understand why I didn't like the room.
First off, towards the weekend, every single night you hear music all night from the street below. It's a really big party scene, and you constantly hear it. Every now and then, you can hear other guests in their rooms in the hotel.
I think what was a major thing was the pool. The pool was 3 ft. and quite small, with small hours from like 7:00 to 10:00, and then it just shuts down. Not really fun when Austin has such a small nightlife.
