Alminhas da Mindua

Best place I’ve stayed along the camino. There are two cafes and a supermarket just 1-2 minutes away. Spotlessly clean and very spacious room. The common areas are beautifully decorated as well. The hostess was very kind and welcoming. All the shampoo and hand-wash they provide are from RITUALS so everything smell really nice. They even have a drying rack in the toilet for you to dry your clothes. Dinner served by the hostess and breakfast were amazing.

Anna, our host was very welcoming & attentive to our needs and went the extra mile to make our stay as perfect as possible.

Nothing not to like. Fairly close to a main road, although it wasn’t a problem with noise levels.

New accommodation, clean, modern with a touch of history. The owner Anna is excellent, helpful, accommodating and a delight to be around! Great location for pilgrims doing the Camino Portuguese!

This is one of our favorite stays on the Camino Portuguese and the Camino Frances— everything is excellent!

A friend and I recently completed the Portuguese Camino and were fortunate enough to spend a night at Alminhas da Mindua. While we stayed at consistently excellent accommodations along the way Alminhas da Mindua was the highlight of the trip for me. The property is AMAZING - It's charming, serene and a wonderful blend of old and new! The proprietor Anna restored a historic family house which she very thoughtfully transformed into an inn/conference center/retreat. Anna was absolutely charming - Kind, generous and most thoughtful. She, her family and they stay really went out of their way to welcome and accommodate us. The location is outstanding - It is right on the Camino Portuguese route however the property is designed in such a way that it feels secluded and private. The room was lovely, super clean and very well appointed and the property and accompanying grounds were equally beautiful. In fact, Anna upgraded our room with no additional charge which we certainly appreciated. I highly recommend Alminhas da Mindua. Anna is a first class host who offers not only a beautiful environment but a genuine communal Camino experience.
