Basic and clean. Also had a water cooler so we could refil our bottles.bikes and some beach stuff avaliable Eric was very helpful and available if we needed him.

Eric was super helpful and kind! This was our first time to the Outerbanks and he told us all about the island and where to go! My family and I will definitely be back!!!

Well-positioned apartment within a large home near the beach on Ocracoke. Eric is very informative and helpful. He provides bikes, chairs, blankets, and anything you might need for a beach visit. Very close to the community center, which can be loud. Also close to amazing taco stand!!

The location allowed us to move about the island with ease. Sleeping worked well Bathroom and shower was good. The living room was spacious and did not make the 3 of us feel crowded. The property was efficient.

I really enjoyed my peaceful stay at Eric's rental The property had everything I needed and was clean when I got there. Eric was great to communicate with and very helpful with points of interest on Ocracoke. Would definitely recommend.

This is our new favorite vacation spot! My husband and I had never been to NC before, and our first visit couldn't have been better. We rode the ferry over from Swan Quarter, met up with Eric, the owner of the home. He was super friendly, very informative I the island and all of its pros & the 1 con (mosquitos). He gave us info on places to eat and shop. Did a walk through of the house with us and showed us his garage where he had bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas and much more and gave us permission to use any of it. The house was a perfect fit for my husband and I. Within walking, biking or golf cart range to everything on the village & just a short drive to the beaches & ponies. We will definitely be back & highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to keep it simple during their stay.

Eric was very helpful and informative before our stay. He spent time during check in making sure we knew where things were on the island. He also made many extras available, such as bikes and beach umbrellas. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location is close to groceries, restaurants, and gas. The tram stop is also within walking distance.

This property is a little way from the main town, but the whole town is only a half mile long. Easy walking distance to the Variety Store (which has everything you need for the stay), the pub, and the brewery. Other shops and restaurants are a little farther but, again, not more than 1 half mile. The property itself is adequate to its purpose. It is no tone of the charming houses or condos “down town” but is a good value. Dog friendly, we brought our small lab. AC cooled the whole space, bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water, complaints about water odor seem unfounded. Spring water was supplied for drinking or cooking. Wi-Fi could be spotty; might could use a booster withing the unit. Couch could be replaced. There is no stove, only a hot plate. The listing should make this more clear so guests can come prepared. We did, bringing an instapot and air fryer and were able to prepare our own delicious seafood feasts. The owner really aims to please. If you have any questions about the island or town, he is there to help. Chairs and umbrellas are provided for the beach. We asked abut clamming and he provided the tools and told us where we could go. We dug up a dozen and cooked them in the unit.

This house was a perfect for us, close to everything! Eric is so nice, thorough and funny! Eric took us for plane ride, how amazing it was!!!!! Star gazing on the front steps was spectacular! SO GLAD we stayed there, thank you Eric 😊 Rebecca and Keith

I absolutely loved my stay at this property. Eric is incredibly helpful and kind and generous with his time - super invested in making sure his guests have a wonderful vacation, which we certainly did!

Eric was a great host. The unit was exactly as described. It's within walking distance to of several great dining establishments and a short drive to beach access. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed every second. Eric is welcoming and warm, a kind host who offered suggestions of where to go for the best views of the sunsets and sun rises. He took us up in his plane which gave us a birds eye view of the island which we were so thankful for. We will be hopefully seeing him again next year!

Place seemed clean upon arrival. Property owner lives in building and is always around. Very tiny ac window unit to cool whole place and stayed hot. Upon sweeping floors I swept up a good amount of dog hair and we didn't have a dog. The tv is very small sitting on the table you are to eat at, and internet hardly works. On our last day I found a cockroach on the wall and freaked out. My kids started screaming when my husband was trying to kill it. We got told by the Property owner right after that incidence that our kids ages 4, 8 and 13 was being too loud. We did enjoy our time on the island, and we was barely there. Only to stay, but we will not be staying here again.

Eric's place was a great fit for us, comfortable, clean and spacious. Great big shower a plus! Whole-house water filtration system solved whatever problem older reviews mentioned about the water smelling like sulphur - the water was fine (and it's also fascinating to look up how Ocracoke gets its water!). Window unit a/c in the main room works well and runs quietly, but we did use the fan Eric provided to move the air to the back bedroom one night. We didn't need anything he didn't provide, and I'm sure he'd help with anything anyone needed while they stay here. Storage in garage, along with beach toys and bikes to use. A great value!

Met our basic needs while visiting Ocracoke

Not the Ritz (but we weren't looking for the Ritz). However, it is a cozy place within 5 minutes walk of everything on the north end of town. Eric (the owner) did everything possible to accomodate us during our stay. We would go back.

This was our second time staying at Eric’s place. It was just what we needed. Location was perfect, amenities were plentiful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely even with some rainy weather! We will stay there again when returning to the island!
