Fantastic location, remote and relaxed perfect for a weekend gateaway.
We were fishing around Foxford, which is at 13 min by car from the structure. Unfortunately the structure is not reachable by public transport and a car is needed, but this is a common feature in most of the places where I stayed in the west of Ireland.
The structure can get some spiders and insects inside if you are not careful, that's natural part of the location in the middle of the nature. A recurring check of doors and windows from the owner could prevent the formation of nests or similar.

Everything 😊. Quiet and peaceful. Very clean and beds were comfortable. Hosts had thought of everything a guest might need. Clear instructions on the boiler and fireplace. Loved the donkeys and cows. Definitely the place to stay if you’re looking for some headspace.
Only thing I didn’t like was the route that google maps sent me on. Over the mountain but by good luck I never met anything else on the road.

Lovely lodge to spend some days disconnecting from routine in the middle of stunning nature all around. The Lodge is cozy, warm, and very nice. The owners are lovely people.
Definitely recommended!!
