The property was clean, recently renovated, and the room was nice and comfortable. We also enjoyed the cosy lounge downstairs area with the fireplace in the evening. Free parking was available next to the property

There were a few practical issues during our stay. Guests are asked to leave their shoes at the entrance, but no slippers were provided. As we booked late while travelling, we did not have any with us. The lamps in the room did not work, and the kettle was difficult to use because the cord was too short. The wooden stairs are also quite slippery, so carrying luggage upstairs in socks felt unsafe. The location is very rural, which is fine if you are looking for peace and quiet, and it is within driving distance of Mont Saint-Michel. However, there are very few restaurants nearby, and you need to drive to all of them. The recommendations in the information booklet were not very helpful, as 2 out of 4 recommended restaurants were closed and one was very expensive. Check-out by 10am also felt too early. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. We expected something much better and more welcoming. Instead, it was very basic: pressed coffee, juice, cheap sliced cheese, cheap stale pastries from Lidl, granola (one option only), some honey and apples. There was no fresh baguette or croissant, no variety of French cheeses, and overall it did not feel like good value or a memorable French breakfast experience. In other similar places we have stayed, hosts usually made breakfast feel special, with fresh pastries (baked or bought from bakeries), homemade French tarts, cheese, eggs, ham, jams. Here, breakfast was very basic and did not feel worth the price.
