We were in town to send off our son to UC San Diego in La Jolla, which was about a 20-min drive during non-peak traffic hours. The Hillcrest neighborhood has a number of great eateries within walking distance (otherwise, parking is tough), and we were glad to have a parking garage for our car as most hotels charged high overnight parking fees. The townhome is spacious, tidy, and practical. Located near a Container Store which was handy to pick up some items for son's dorm. It made the stay stress-free and allowed us to focus on moving our son into college.
I agree with previous reviewers about dusty floors -- bring slippers -- and the hot water delay (noted in the welcome binder to wait a few minutes). However, the owners were incredibly responsive and generous about these matters, which was great.

Nagyon könnyű a bejutás, pontos instrukciókat kaptunk. A ház hatalmas, tökéletesen felszerelt, mindkét szobához külön fürdőszoba tartozott. A garázs hatalmas, bár közös a szomszéddal.
A nagy nappali ablakon sem függöny, sem árnyékoló nincs. Illetve érkezésünkkor jópár dugaljban nem volt áram, így a fürdőben töltöttük a telefonokat, de a vendéglátó még ottlétünk alatt javíttatta a problémát.

The place is very spacious and comfortable. The location is great. There is a grocery store and a gym within 5 minutes walk. The wifi was very stable, my husband and I had no issues getting work done.

The host was friendly and cooperative.
I received the check-in instructions only a couple of hours before check-in, and the entry was quite confusing since access is from an alley at the back. It would be much better if the instructions were shared a day in advance so guests are well prepared.
The property is located above the garage, and there are quite a few stairs to enter, followed by additional stairs inside leading to the bedroom. Since it was raining, the stairs were slippery, making it very difficult to carry three large suitcases upstairs. If this stair access had been clearly disclosed in the listing, I would not have booked the property.
