The Host was awesome and beyond accommodating! Thanks for a great trip!

Very reasonable space in Baldwin City- easy process

The house was clean and fresh looking. Rooms were neat and beds were very comfortable. Dishwasher, coffee maker, refrigerator, and stove -- all in good condition. Bathrooms were clean and towels were provided. Warm welcome sign, and the guest WiFi proved to be easy to access.

Initially, when we arrived, the property looked unkempt. The “grass” had not been mowed. The front door jam (metal part) was pulling away from the base, which could have been a hazard to a younger child. When we walked in, the house smelled like sewer…BAD! We went and purchased some plug ins to help. The host was quick to respond and came over and flushed the system. It took awhile to get the smell out of the house. Most all of the windows were dirty (cobwebs, dirt, handprints, etc). There were parts of the floor that were dusty (under the couches, corners, etc.) There was also a smashed bug on the wall. My daughter, who slept upstairs killed four other bugs. I am not aware what types of bugs, just that she was freaked out. The bathroom in the basement was nice, but the shower on the main floor was old and had an old discolored rug. The towels were thin, and there were not enough for the seven of us. We understand that it’s an older house, but it could be so much more. It CERTAINLY was not worth the nearly 300 a night. On the bright side, there were plenty of beds for us all. The appliances and furniture were nice. I also appreciated the communication with the host.
