With so many options to choose from in Zanzibar, we are so happy we decided to stay at Infinity Hotel. The biggest reason? The owners genuinely care about their guests’ experience. They live on the property and make sure you are taken care of above and beyond expectations. Had we stayed at a larger all-inclusive resort with hundreds of rooms, I don’t think we would have received this same level of personal hospitality. The staff was incredibly genuine, friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed. The food was also amazing! The menu was huge, with dishes representing several different cultures, so there was always something new to choose from. Our room was cleaned and beautifully reset every day. Infinity is also small enough that you can get to know the staff and other guests and enjoy the people around you—if you want to—while still having plenty of privacy. The ocean is just moments away, and we loved taking long walks along the beach. Pro tip: if you want to politely decline the beach vendors, simply say, “Asante sana, hapana” (“Thank you very much, no”). Once we learned this, we were able to enjoy long walks without much interruption. Also, between about 6–7 a.m., the beach is especially peaceful and perfect for an uninterrupted walk. All in all, if you are considering Infinity Hotel, choose it. The personal hospitality, wonderful staff, great food, and beautiful location made our stay incredibly special.

Our stay at Infinity Beach Boutique Hotel in Matemwe was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely at home. We were lucky enough to get the Paradise Room, and the name could not be more appropriate. It truly felt like a little paradise on earth. Everything about this boutique hotel has been thoughtfully designed. The rooms are decorated with incredible taste, every detail has its place, and the property has a real identity and soul. Nothing feels generic or impersonal. There is a wonderful atmosphere throughout the hotel — beautiful energy, peaceful surroundings and genuinely good vibes. The property and the managers are among the loveliest people we have met during our travels. We felt completely at ease, without any pressure, and truly looked after. The owner is an exceptionally kind and caring woman, and I feel very lucky to have had the chance to meet her. She is an incredible person who brings so much warmth to the whole experience. The restaurant is also lovely, with excellent service: friendly, attentive and efficient. We especially loved the concept of being able to have breakfast whenever we wanted. That is what being on holiday should feel like — being able to wake up when you choose, without having to rush for breakfast. And the beach massage deserves a special mention: the best massage we have ever had in our lives. Having a massage on the beach, surrounded by such a peaceful atmosphere, was an unforgettable experience. We have travelled to many places around the world, but this boutique hotel genuinely stands out. It has a unique identity, a beautiful soul and an energy that is difficult to describe unless you experience it yourself. We truly did not want to leave. The only thing we regret is that we had already booked our other hotels; otherwise, we would have happily extended our stay here. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a special place and for making us feel so welcome.
