Almaz - Hotel

Location great, conditions amazing but it is the people who run the place who are all truly exceptional people. I was genuinely sad to head home after staying there! A place I cannot recommend more highly!

Very comfortable and well located hotel/mansion. The staff are great. The Moose coffee shop, a local chain, is around the corner. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. I especially liked the Korean restaurant Masitta.

Very good hotel with warm and welcoming staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good supply of hot water in the shower. The interior of the building is beautifully designed and artistic. The hotel also has a lovely, spacious front yard.

The building is old. Keep that in mind.

I booked a taxi from the hotel to go to the airport at night and since I had to wait at the hotel, the taxi driver was there early. He really creeped me out. He made remarks about me being very beautiful and how he would like another wife like me. At first I laughed a little, but very quickly it became very awkward for me. As he just kept repeating it over and over again. Thank god I wasn't alone, had some friends from the trip with me who were taking same flight with me, so I wasn't alone with him. I would say this was a very creepy experience for me. This isn't nice, nor is it polite. I felt harassed. I asked one of my friends to sit in the front seat as I didn't feel comfortable at all.
