Staying in a treehouse was a very unique experience and we loved it! You can see the volcano from the treehouse balcony. Would recommend staying a few nights so you have the best chance of seeing the volcano in good weather. Philip and his family were lovely hosts and organised some other activities for us, there is a lot to do around the area! We visited some local villages and had the opportunity to talk to people about how they live which was awesome.

Disponibilité des hôtes : transfert depuis l’aéroport avec chauffeur francophone trop sympa, dîner succulent par Suzie le soir après le volcan, aide de la part de Philippe qui nous a éclairé les escaliers à 3h30 du matin et nous a accompagné jusqu’au volcan ! Discussions avec les hôtes très intéressantes… Propreté irréprochable !

The unique experience of being in an authentic treehouse accomodation. It was exactly as described.

The owner met us at the airport, but did not identify himself as the owner - it was confusing to understand what was happening. But he and his wife were friendly and happy to chat. We felt safe and welcomed.
There is a whiteboard at the house with the costs of all local attractions (not including transport costs.)
It's good to be aware of prices because you need to arrange local cash (cards not accepted anywhere).
The driver is ok (but doesn't act as a tour guide.)
The owners were not up front with all the costs. Meals were charged just as we were getting in the car to leave on our last day. There was no listed price for any meal at any time.
Essentially - come prepared: (bring a head lamp and hand sanitiser), carry enough cash - (more than you expect), and then enjoy a very authentic Vanuatu experience!!!
