We stayed on the Graythwaite Estate in 2 cottages, Crabtree and Grubbings- 14 adults and a dog.
Very spacious cottages really well equipped, beautiful spot meant we could dog walk from the estate and handy for the local area.
We happened to have perfect weather which made the lake district even more stunning.
Really hope to return in the future.

Lovely cottage, very comfy beds, enjoyed the swimming pool and made use of the farm shop, some good walks from the door, there was only one hand towel which wasn’t a problem as we took spare

This was our second visit to Graythwaite for the October holidays. Different cottage but same comfortable and high standards. Slightly disappointed by a mix up in booking the pool and by the hot water boiler breaking down but both were responded to promptly. We also had a group of very noisy young couples staying across from us who were outside till well after mid-night on a couple of nights but I guess these things happen and we didn’t report it. Hopefully we will be back again.

The location and facilities are great, beautiful and spacious cottage. However evidence of damp and mould in bedrooms and bathroom meant we all struggled with breathing. Overall cleanliness wasn't great, under bed needed cleaning and windows were dirty. It's a shame as this has the potential to be great but was overshadowed by the mould. The smell was evident when entering property. There was no-one on site to speak to. Ended up leaving a day early as while family's breathing was impacted.
