Sonesta Essential Hotels Overland Park

The property is in a nice location, close to restaurants, shopping and attractions. They do offer a complementary breakfast in the morning. There was plenty of parking available and the staff was very helpful.

I don’t think there was anything that we didn’t like about the property. The only thing that unsettled me was the function of the elevator. It was a little jumpy.

Very beautiful hotel for a value stay.

The size of the room and the fact it was fully stocked with all kitchen items.

Cleanliness of the room in general. It was very obvious they came through and cleaned around items but not under them or in the places most people wouldn’t look. A lot of the kitchen items were dirty. It also had an older feel to it based on the overall color scheme and look. Looks as if they just kept painting over the old stuff to cover any issues up. Finally, there is a door between the rooms connected them together that I could not lock as it wasn’t allowed so it’s weird to think someone could just come in if they wanted to. Also, the cost of a soda from the hotel for a can was 3 bucks that’s just nuts when they don’t offer a vending machine so it’s a rip off no doubt.
