ELLE dimora di Sicilia

Very friendly staff! Our room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Of course, the bathroom was the crown jewel of our accommodations!

It was clear there were stairs involved, but it wasn’t clear that the building was a shared space with other tenants. Once past the gates inside the property was beautifully designed.

Soggiorno indimenticabile, location bellissima , colazione molto ricca e staff molto cordiale . Lo consiglio

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very centrally located. Very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. The staff was so kind and welcoming. One of the best stays I’ve truly ever had and I cannot recommend this more highly!

Check-in is a bit strange but they were super accommodating and it is very normal for hotels in Catania how it’s set up. Just be overly communicative of arrival time and such so they can meet you there.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, initially attracted by the beautiful and stylish room design. The decor is indeed impressive, but unfortunately, that’s the only thing that meets expectations. The entrance to the hotel is through a shared residential building, which is not particularly clean or welcoming. To reach the hotel, you have to climb up to the fourth floor with no elevator and unlock three different doors along the way. This is extremely inconvenient, especially with luggage, and unacceptable for a hotel charging €400 per night. The overall quality does not match the price. Housekeeping is very poor — there’s dirt behind the shower door, towels left on the floor were simply rehung, and cleaning consisted mostly of making the bed. The minibar and coffee capsules were never refilled, and even though we asked for water, none was provided. What truly frustrated us was being charged an extra €5 for a bottle of water. On the first day, this same bottle was offered as complimentary, yet at checkout, it appeared on our bill — even though the minibar was never restocked. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly embarrassing for a hotel of this level. Breakfast is served in a small dining room with only four tables, where a young man behind a screen prepares omelets. The buffet mainly consists of sweets and desserts. The staff try to appear attentive, asking repeatedly if everything is fine, but the service itself remains substandard. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible — you can hear everything happening in the hallway, which makes it hard to sleep. Bathroom amenities are cheap and not what you’d expect from a so-called luxury hotel. The interior design and the view from the window are indeed beautiful, but apart from that, the experience is disappointing. Overall, this is a hotel for pretty Instagram photos, not for a comfortable stay. The price absolutely does not reflect the quality or service provided.
