The villa was lovely with an outdoor kitchen overlooking a well maintained garden and pool. There is some screening above the brick wall to give some privacy to anyone walking past along the private path. It still overlooks the rice fields which is stunning. The host was very helpful and helped us bring luggage down the paths. He waa available to answer questions, arrange laundry cleaning and give recommendations. The lication is very good. It is easy to catch a Grab into the main area of Ubud. Head in the opposite direction and there is some gorgeous scenery and places to go sightseeing, eat or for spa treatments. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. The air conditioning is good, the facilities well maintained and it is good value for money.

The water pressure is low and it is difficult to get a consistent temperature it ranges from burning hot to freezing cold. There is some building works which would have been bothersome if we we stayed in the villa during the day. Cars are not able to easily drive into the main drive way as it is very narrow. There is a spot across the road a car can pull into. It was a maze of back paths to get to the villa which are uneven in surface and can be unsafe at night with no lighting. We did end up finding the paths charming as it gave us a connection to the Balinese way of life. Other reviews had mentioned troublesome dogs. This was not our experience. Our neighbours were noisy partying til 3am on two consecutive nights. They may have been guests. We did call out several times but our requests to quieten down were ignored.

The pool and backyard were amazing. Kadek and his team were also excellent, friendly and very helpful. Kadek was very responsive to my requests.

I didn't have a kettle but I didn't ask for one.
